Last week a five story building in Accra, Ghana used by a popular home goods store collapsed killing at least nine people and trapping dozens more. The building was only nine months old. When asked why the building collapsed, Kate Adobaya, a spokeswoman for Ghana's National Disaster Management Organization, blamed the collapse on structural weakness, simply stating, âThe foundation was not good enough.â
Our lives are like a building. In order to have a strong and stable life, it must be built on a solid foundation. Jesus shared a parable at the end of his sermon on the plain that illustrates this truth.
In this parable, we have two people; each built a house. One was built on a solid foundation. The other was not. This is a picture of our life. A secure life must be built on a solid foundation. A life that is not built on a solid foundation will eventually fall. Listen to our latest sermon to hear more.
